Lateral, medial, and posterior ligaments strengthen joint

Lateral and medial talocalcaneal ligaments
Nerve Supply
Tibial nerve → posterior
Deep peroneal nerve → anterior
Blood Supply
Posterior tibial artery
Peroneal artery
Movements
Inversion and eversion of foot
Helps adjust hindfoot on uneven surfaces
