Introduction • It is the concordance repertory • Symptoms are arranged almost in its original form without much changes. • It starts with : Preface • Table of contents • list of remedy abbreviation & name • 48 chapters including chapter from stages of life & constitution & drug relationship • Index • Total no. of drugs : 408 • This repertory is classified under Fisitan group of repertories. • Main source of this repertory is Hering’s Materia Medica

Plan & Construction • The order of arrangement or method of classification followed in the compilation of this repertory is the one inaugurated by Dr Hahnemann, developed, perfected & used by Dr Hering. Throughout his entire materia medica work viz The anatomical or regional division into 48 chapters • It starts with chap on mind & disposition & ends with the chap on Drug Relationship along with a complete index of localities & terms & the organ-wise classification follows • Hahnemann schema till chapter 34 • Remaining chapters represent the reaction of the whole body. • Organ wise classification follows the foll. order :

  1. Above downwards
  2. From within outwards
  3. Functional symptoms first followed by the organic conditions.
  4. First the parts & then whole body.

Special features • Symptoms are given in their original form without much change • Symptoms are arranged alphabetical order under each chapter. • Various marks of distinction are found in this repertory • About 408 medicines are given • This repertory is mainly based on concordant symptoms • This is the repertory of cured symptoms • This repertory includes symptoms & remedies from clinical proving & toxicological pathogeneses • All the rubrics are very authentic as it is directly taken from Hering Guiding Symp of MM

Limitations • As there is no grading in rubrics this rep. is not useful for actual materia medica repertorization • It has a less number of medicines & needs gradation • Abbreviations given for medicines are different from other books.
