A. Physical Characteristics

  • Appetite: Diminished due to loss of taste/smell
  • Desires: Warm drinks (+++), Salty food (+)
  • Aversions: Cold drinks, milk
  • Thirst: Increased, for warm fluids
  • Elimination:
    • Urine: Normal
    • Stool: Slightly constipated
    • Perspiration: Profuse on forehead during pain
  • Sleep: Disturbed due to headache and nasal blockage
  • Thermal State: Chilly (sensitive to cold drafts, wants head covered)

B. Reactions - Physical Factors

  • Weather: Aggravation in cold dry weather or after AC exposure
  • Position: Better sitting erect; worse stooping or lying down
