  • Miasm: A concept developed by Hahnemann that explains the progression of diseases. It is a hypothetical entity that explains the origin and progression of diseases.

    • It is associated with the mind, causing obsession and fixation.
    • It causes skin diseases like acne and boils.
  • Characteristics of Syphilis:

    • It is a tertiary miasm.
    • It is a miasm of the nervous system.
    • It causes neurological symptoms like paralysis and seizures.
    • It is associated with the mind, causing hallucinations and delusions.
    • It causes skin diseases like ulcers and sores.
    • It is a miasm of decay and destruction.
