    • The infection leads to necrosis of the vertebral bodies and the formation of cold abscesses.
    • The abscesses can break through the skin, leading to a sinus tract.
  3. Types:

    • Tuberculous spondylitis: This is the most common form of Pott's disease.
    • Pott's spine: This is a rare form of Pott's disease that affects the spine in a more severe way.
    • Spinal tuberculosis: This is a type of Pott's disease that affects the spine.

    • Fever
    • Back pain
    • Fatigue
    • Loss of appetite
    • Weight loss
    • Muscle weakness
    • Difficulty walking
    • Spinal deformity
  5. Radiological findings:

    • X-ray: The X-ray shows the presence of a cold abscess, and the vertebral bodies may appear narrowed or destroyed.
    • MRI: The MRI shows the presence of a cold abscess and the extent of the infection.
    • CT scan: The CT scan shows the presence of a cold abscess and the extent of the infection.
  6. Management:

    • Antitubercular therapy (ATT)
    • Rest and immobilization
    • Pain management
    • Spinal stabilization
    • Surgery: In some cases, surgery may be necessary to stabilize the spine or to drain the abscess.

HOMOEOPATHIC THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

  1. Indications:

    • Tuberculosis of the spine
    • Pott's disease
